The Orono Spartobots (Team 4687) is entering its second year following a seven-year hiatus. Last year, the team was awarded the Rising Star Award at the FIRST Robotics Competition. This award recognizes a young team or a team with a new beginning that demonstrates outstanding potential, determination, and growth by building a strong foundation, embracing FIRST values, creating impact, and showing promise for a sustainable future.
Our students are eager to build on the skills they learned last year in this hands-on, dynamic program that fosters engineering, programming, leadership, teamwork, marketing, and communication skills.
As a student-led, nonprofit organization, we rely on aid from donors and sponsors; a model that allows our team to carry out its mission. Your Support of the Orono Spartobots will empower students to be the next generation of STEM graduates and future innovators.
Financial Donations
Our team is dependent on funding from grants and sponsors. Sponsorships ensure our sustainability and STEM access to all students. We offer a variety of benefits and experiences to organizations and individuals that support the team.
In Kind Donations
During build season, we will spend countless hours in the workshop. Donations of team meals and snacks are always welcome and appreciated!
The materials required for building robots are expensive. Any donation of tools or resources are welcome. Check out our social media for posts and stories about our wonderful donors!
It is thanks to our generous sponsors that we are able to carry out our mission to strengthen student STEM and be a STEM resource in our community. Providing benefits are ways we show our appreciation to our sponsors.
Key Sponsors will be recognized with Company Logo on the competition robot, in the pit and/or on team shirts.
